Rachel McAdams as a Bridesmaid
Do you recognize this bridesmaid? This beautiful actress here in blue was one of the stars of Wedding Crashers. She was born to Sandra Kay and Lance McAdams in 1978. She hails from Ontario. She started acting at the age of thirteen from Shakespeares' productions in school.
From a few smaller roles in Disney, her big break came from the movie Mean Girls in 2004, where She portrayed the character, 'Regina George.' Her impressive performance in this movie is still recounted today. It also a very popular meme on the internet.
Who's the Bride?
Imagine a game of "Who's the bride?" With these two. All eyes would go to Lady Gaga! We surely would have a tough time figuring out who the bride is. An epic mix up between the bride and bridesmaids. One of the bridesmaids probably mistook herself for the bride and decided to wear the bride's dress.
We love the violet. It’s the most perfect color of all time. Delightful to the mind and senses. You absolutely cannot go wrong with a page violet dress. Makes us wonder why this unruly bridesmaid decided to ditch this color. The bride surely doesn't look pleased.
Should the Bridesmaids Dress Flow?
Granted, the flamboyant wedding dress train has been slipping in and out of fashion. But when did bridesmaid’s trains become a thing? We're still trying to come to terms with the fact that a bride would want to let her beautiful (and quite expensive) dress drag on the ground.
But these bridesmaids did not let the bride bask in her glory. They just had to have a train too. Donning beautiful ash-colored dresses, the bridesmaids certainly do look breathtaking. We cannot help but wonder who stole the show at the wedding.
We All Love a Groufit
Well, this bride would certainly not pick up on this sarcasm. She decided a groufit (grey outfit) would be best for her bridesmaids. No better way to ensure no one steals her show right? Well, she succeeded, those grey dresses look so plain next to her beautiful gown. Her smug look tells it all.
A little background on the girls. The girls in this picture all played college basketball together. The bride ran point. From what we heard, the bride grew up in a bad neighborhood and played her way to pay for college. She then took over the spot from a D1 recruit. She later won the national title in 2017!
Should Bridesmaids Wear Tuxedos?
With the ever-increasing fight for gender nonconformity, the picture below might soon become the new norm. It makes us wonder what the groomsmen must have on. Bridal dresses? That must have caused quite a ruckus, not to talk of been a strange sight.
The question is, should we adopt this as the new norm? We might just have to in the spirit of progressiveness and blurring the lines between gender roles. We're left to ponder just how far and willing we're ready to go to the bridge the gender gap.
The Bride's Face Says It All
This is probably born out of the new craze for staggering wedding cakes. Well, to be fair big cakes do create a perception of wealth and class. Nowadays, they can be found in most high profile weddings.
The cake stands about 4 feet tall and weighed about 50lbs. Though the bride’s face says it all, we don’t think she was very happy with the cake. We hope she found at least a little satisfaction from the taste though.
Marriage Based on Love Is a New Thing
Marriage on the sole premise of love is a new thing. Despite the popular misconception probably fanned by "Romeo and Juliet." In the olden days, marriage was for very practical reasons. But for some along the way, they grew fond of each other and developed love and devotion.
Scholars believe that the concept of marriage due to romantic love was 'invented' by the French. According to the story, Sir Lancelot fell in love with Queen Guinevere. This inspired other men to seek a partner of their choosing.
Bridesmaids in Rompers
You'll probably appreciate the creativity put into the creation of a romper if you knew how it was made. To make you understand here's an incredible fact. A romper can also be called an onesie! Yes you know, that famous article of clothing for babies!
A romper is made from one piece of garment styled to your choosing! Like the dress, this suit has no pockets. A pocket on a feminine dress is quite redundant if you ask us. We found that more women are quite content to use their purse or clutch instead.
Taylor Swift in a Bridesmaid's Dress
Seems like apart from stunning her fans with her rich vocal cords, she slays in realtime too. This peach-sequined dress is everything we dream of. Tailored and styled to perfection. And do we love her hairdo? Absolutely!
An aside; Taylor swift is quite the musical genius. The story has it that she mastered the art of lyrics writing way before her classmates. At age 14, she signed a deal with Sony Publishing house and by 15, she had her record deal! All these before she had her drivers' license!
After Love Entered the Picture
After love entered the picture, a lot of things changed. People started questioning the foundation on which marriage was built. For the first time, roles were redefined and women had a lot to say. Thus it became that women existed not only to serve men but in a bipartisan pragmatic partnership.
But during the founding of America, the principle that the man 'owned' his wife was still widely accepted. Typically the wife let go of her last name to signify the joining of two people. The law was so tough that if a woman married a foreigner, she lost her citizenship.
When Women Were Given the Right to Vote
Women received the right to vote in 1920. A lot of things changed thereafter. All of a sudden, a family had two individuals with citizenship. Even though, the husband was still technically the head of the household. And then in 1960, interracial marriage was legalized.
You'll be shocked to realize that marital rape wasn't recognized until 1970. According to historian Stephanie Coontz, "The idea that marriage is a private relationship for the fulfillment of two individuals is relatively new."
A Jealous Bridesmaid
In the picture below is a bridesmaid caught in the throes of envy. She appears to be glaring at the bridesmaid to her left. Probably doesn't know it has been caught on camera. Jealousy, you see, is ingrained into the fabric of man.
It probably arises from mans' ego. For we know that ego is arguably one of the driving forces of progression. Is jealousy bad? We think not! A little jealousy is a reason why people strive to be the best versions of themselves.
Women Had Few Rights Throughout History
Not altogether surprising, women had few rights across various cultures in history. The united states of America and Europe were among the earliest in granting rights to women. They stopped archaic laws and principles.
One of such drastic laws was a husband's right to physically discipline his wife! A wife also gained her own identity in marriage. A lot of things have progressed in the 21st century but we still have some lapses. In some countries, there are severe penalties for women who engage in premarital sex.
Couples Are Choosing a Smaller Gathering
Nowadays, a lot of couples are choosing an alternative destination than the altar. Couples now prefer cohabiting with each other and foregoing the traditional marriage. These two individuals, in a romantic and sexual relationship, live together on a permanent or long-term basis.
With recent social views, this option has become favorable for so many couples. Especially when gender roles and religion comes to play. Another factor is the outrageous cost of weddings! More and more couples are choosing a smaller gathering of guests, than the usual sprawling of guests.
Bridesmaids Dressed As the Bride
We are at a loss as to what could have prompted the choice of this dress. Jealousy? Maybe. We have crazy stories where the wedding guests did crazy things to divert attention to themselves. Sometimes to even gain attention from the bride and groom!
In a recent story on popular social media site, "Reddit" the maid of honor announced her engagement in her speech to the bride. Guess folks on social media did? They tracked down her handle on all social media platforms and ridiculed her pieces. Too stern though.
Even Famous People Get Married
One of the very popular weddings was the wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William in 2011. It is also one of the most expensive weddings to date. About $34 million was spent on the wedding! The wedding was also televised around the world!
The kind of painstaking analysis that went into this wedding! All for what anyway? There were performance breakdowns similar to how sporting events are critiqued? "Oh, wonderful execution!" 'Watch out her heels will snag the train!' Blessed!
The Walt Disney Company Hosts Fairytale Weddings
The Walt Disney company amongst everything is known to host fairytale weddings as well. From the inception of the company in 19991 to date, they have hosted about 30,000 weddings. We are told that guests can choose the venue for their wedding too.
From all the Disney parks in Florida, California, Hong Kong, Paris, and even Disney Cruise Line. They offer great services too. We heard that you could order any kind of food to be served on your day! From Chicken breast nuggets to Mickey bars!
Legality Involving Marriage License
Even in this era of progressiveness, you would be shocked at the hurdles couples have to scale through to gain their marriage license. Hollywood sure as hell doesn't do justice to this. The entire process is enough to give couples a migraine.
In one crazy story, we heard government clerks declined to give a couple of their licenses because they had a hyphened last name. Seriously? You would think they would reject a job it doesn't tally with their principles. But no!
Everyone Makes Mistakes
For these couples, it seems their wedding would be less than perfect. Well, what happened? It turned out two couples were booked for the same wedding venue and at the same time. One of the processions had a bagpipe and the other had a trumpet.
Later on, an agreement was reached by the two parties. It so happened that this delay was worth 20minutes of the other party's' time. So the ceremonies started and as the officiant said, "Ladies and gentlemen, we're all gathered here today," the bagpipes started playing. It drowned out the other party's entire ceremony. Ouch!
The Bride's Father Showed up Drunk
We have numerous cringe-worthy stories about weddings. In one of these stories, the father of the bride showed up drunk. He did not only show up drunk, but he also showed up dirty and wore blue jeans and a t-shirt. He then proceeded to harass people.
He shouted at the groomsmen for dressing up. Like, why did they dress up? He then drank outrageous quantities of alcohol and gets very drunk. In another story, the brides' mother brings her alcohol to the wedding venue. She gets drunk even before the reception starts. Needless to say, she creates quite a ruckus.
The Church Now Advocates for a Partnership
We heard that when the Catholic church started getting involved in marriages, it became peaceful. A high number of divorce cases dropped. Husbands also started treating their wives better. There were fewer quarrels too and husbands became increasingly faithful.
But on a sad note, the church communicated that husbands were the head of the household. They also directed that wives should be obedient and submissive to their husbands. This didn't sit well in some quarters. But currently, they preach that marriage should be a partnership.
A Charming Hilarious Film
Hey! Isn't that Jennifer Garner?! Sorry, but who can focus on the bride when one of Hollywood's biggest actresses is right there!
Some of the most popular movies have a marriage themed. It has been noticed over the years that a marriage centered movie makes for good entertainment.

Brides Everybody Would Notice
Every girl dreams of her wedding day, and especially of her wedding dress. Sometimes it even seems as if the dress and the bride's looks are the center of attention. While some brides imagine themselves in a white classy dress, others envision themselves in a chic and trendy ensemble, but there are others who go for something completely different.

Power Puffy Girl
“Choose pink to make the boys wink,” as this girl seemed to believe when it came to her wedding day. As she went on with her maxim and effectively making guys wink, she did not know she was already blinding the most important one in her wedding by having her huge dress cover the face of her husband. This bride snatched all the eyes as she achieved the princess look in her puffy pink dress.
However, she felt that her dress still was not enough; she wore a diamond crown on her head and had a sparkly wand in her hand, catching people’s attention. All of those summed up, their idea of a horse and carriage was reasonably not the best.
She Feline Love
Hello Kitty, in its small pink cat form, had won the hearts of countless fans ever since it was created. It was so widespread that its fan merchandise had covered a variety of items for sale, that it even has a themed wedding dress on the list. This bride is no ordinary fan. Having this cat cartoon character as a major part of her life, she wanted to make sure that it was part of her wedding, too.
Featuring Hello Kitty-designed balloons in the background is not enough. The traditional white gown itself was sporting the look of the feline, and even the bouquet is in pink to match the overall theme.
Not Just Something Blue
This bride wanted her “something new” to be mixed with “something blue,” but she might have gone a little overboard. In fact, she took her “something blue” to a whole new level by actually having it as the color of her wedding dress. The white gowns that surrounded her in the bridal store did not satisfy her.
She went for the cobalt blue dress with silver rhinestones and a matching veil which immediately caught her eye. Thinking it was time to mix things up, she had her “something blue” completely incorporated with her “something new.” However, her veil was not to be taken as “something borrowed.”
All About Cake
Cakes were one of the most essential features of any celebration, especially at weddings. But those may have been a thing of the past and are often overlooked these days. This particular bride does not think so. As a matter of fact, she believes that the cake should be the highlight of the event. To prove her point for everyone to see, she wore a white cake.
This bride wore a white cake for her wedding to prove that her dress was so good, you could eat it. And that was exactly what she and her guests did – they ate her cake of a dress. She did not only save time and money, but she also kept her guests satisfied.
Creativity Is Key
Being busy as an art student was not a hindrance to Michelle’s wedding. In fact, she turned her very active creative juices in the direction of her marriage. Michelle put her own idea of a perfect wedding dress into reality as she designed her own wedding gown. She used street art as the theme for her final project and has decided to stick with it as the same theme for her gown.
Michelle used the first letters of her name, “M” and her husband-to-be, “H” for Harry, and put it in as she transformed her traditional white gown into her own masterpiece.
Pride Bride
This bride did not only take her patriotism to heart, she even wore and embodied it on her wedding day. Her wedding might as well have taken place on the 4th of July, seeing how serious she was with her love for the country. Dressed in her red, white, and blue wedding gown, this bride was patriotism personified.
As she walked down the aisle towards her groom, she radiates the glow of a true American. The traditional white was not lost in her gown of blue and red, but the color she chose for her bridesmaids to wear is another story.
Ferrero Lover
Weddings are primarily about love that is why most weddings’ theme revolves around love itself. This specific couple, however, wanted to show off how sweet their love is and went as far as to wear it on their selves. In hopes that it would bring them luck in their future of togetherness, this couple chose to go for the sweet treats.
To go with the theme, the bride’s gown was composed of Rafaello chocolates instead of going for a traditional white wedding dress. The groom, on the other hand, also showed his love for food by being in a chef outfit, but still stuck with the white.
All the Right Curves
The wedding event itself is not the only thing most brides are planning and preparing for. Of course, they wanted to look good in their gowns that some even resort to strict diet and exercise. While some brides want to accentuate their body shape or focus mainly on the design of the dress, others aim to show off their lovely curves.
However, this bride might have had something different in mind. As to why the blooming flowers were this bride’s final choice, it is good to hope that their marriages are just as blooming of a romance. The audience’s attention will surely be grabbed from the bride herself due to her choice of dress.
Mama June, Here We Go Again
As a TV personality, Mama June was widely known to never have had done things in an ordinary fashion. Even with her wedding to sugar bear or her fashion choices, her manner of living is no different. That is why as much as it was different, her camouflage dress head-to-toe accompanied with orange accents was not that much of a surprise.
Her husband-to-be did not escape her inclinations as his outfit was matched to hers. Also going along with the theme, her daughter was in a neon orange and bright pink frilly dress. While Mama June was notable on her own, Honey Boo Boo was impossible to miss too as she served as the flower girl.
Lady Marmalade
Feather boas are often used as a fashion statement, most traditionally during a cabaret show. But this bride ignored that norm, opting for a rather off choice and used feather boas in the entirety of her wedding attire. While the style of her dress is one thing, the choice of color and accessories are another.
She even had a feathered umbrella to complete her look of the white and red dress, black and white gloves and red feather boas. The exact reason behind her decisions might be vague as can be, but seeing how happy the bride looks is most certainly what matters most.
Man and Matey
This couple took the pirate life to heart and made it their wedding’s theme. Dressed in her corset dress, sideways hat, and black and gold boots, the bride had all eyes in the deck on her. Her man did not back down and flared his own outfit with a sword, a cape, and boots to complete the look. It seems that a seaside wedding won’t be ideal for them.
Throughout the event, rum was served instead of traditional wine. Of course, the theme is not just for the eyes. It went full swing as the bride uttered the words “Ahoy, Captain!” as she finished her vows for her newlywed husband.
Once in a Lifetime
Matrimony is not just the state of being married; it is a time for celebrating the official union between two people of significance to each other and to cherish their magical moment together with their friends and family. Just as any bride hopes to have one wedding for the rest of their lives, this particular bride went all out.
This bride was serious in having her marriage “one time only.” Her idea of putting this concept into existence is by dressing up in a gown made of disposable spoons, plates, and cups, which have the same approach of one-time use. She thought it was a good representation for her wedding day, and her groom was just as willing to go along with the theme.
Today Was a Fairytale
Brides-to-be often see weddings as fairytales waiting to come true; the thought of marrying their knights in shining armor and the dreams of having that fairytale ending with a happily ever after automatically comes along with it. And there is this one bride who not only dreamed of all of it; she turned it into reality, literally.
Her traditional white gown had wings attached to it. Her husband, on the other hand, wore a cape on his shoulders just like Prince Charming coming to whisk her off her feet. Their wedding attires alone indicate that they are truly a match made in heaven.
As Long As You Love Me
This is not for a shampoo ad, but for the next bride’s train with which six bridesmaids cannot suffice to help her with it, and it can be clearly seen on the picture why. “Go big, or go home,” as this bride believes so, she aimed to have the longest train to complete her over-the-top wedding dress.
Princess Diana was acknowledged to have a royally long wedding train in her own wedding, but this bride went on to take the extra mile with hers, literally. Not only did they get to cover a longer distance, but they also had more people be a part of their big day.
Rainbow Is the Color of Love
Rainbow is the color of love, or at least as this couple thinks so. This couple might have come across to have just re-watched Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and immediately thought of it as a great idea. Anyway, they completely neglected the everlasting trend of white in weddings in terms of attire.
These two made their wedding attires all about black and bright colors, definitely giving Joseph a run for his money. Theirs might not be on the top of everyone’s list of choices, but if it works just as fine for them, then no one could ever complain to ruin it for them.
Cupcakes for All
With the decline of the fame of cakes at weddings came the rising trend of cupcakes. And this bride did not only favor the craze, she even took it to the extremes. She knew and expected that everyone would come and ask for a picture with her, and so she came up with a bright idea.
After coming and getting their shot, this bride wanted to offer each and every one of them a cupcake. This could also stand as a metaphor for the sweet union that she just shared and will keep on sharing with her new husband. Not wanting to go against the white theme, she had them topped with white frosting.
As Green As Can Be
The true love story of Shrek and Fiona is as remarkable as can be. Living in Far Far Away with their own fairytale dream, their love inspired many people, and among them is this couple. They can never forget Shrek and Fiona’s story and how it encouraged them to achieve their real-life fairytale.
In the movie, Fiona tried to hide her ogre form. But this bride proudly wore her face paint and outfit as she married her very own Shrek. Seeing their overall appearance and the venue in which they are standing, it would not be a surprise of the film franchise was their wedding’s theme throughout.
Most Loyal Fan Award
If there are standards and rewards for all kinds of fans, this bride might have snagged them all. There are kinds of soccer fans who live-eat-breathe-repeat their respective soccer teams, and Karen Bell just proved to be one of them, if not the top. Even on her wedding day, she did not fail to show her eternal love for the Manchester City FC.
Her fandom did not only show on her wedding dress; the blue and white theme, soccer memorabilia around the room, and soccer player names as table labels took the wedding event in its full swing. She said that it was a labor of love as she claims that “we wanted to do something different because we have both been married before.”
No Space For Mistakes
A bride has already so much to worry about on her wedding day, hopefully wishing that her big day would go perfectly and smoothly. Even with as much help as she could get, there could still be things out of their control. This bride had waited for this her whole life and all her preparations are already in place; no space for mistakes.
She successfully managed to get her hair and make-up done and reach the church without troubles. However, she was not able to reach the altar as smoothly as planned. This man ruined it all, for some reason, as he thoughtlessly walked down the aisle and stepped on the bride’s dress.
